Canadian Marine Shipping Risk Forum – The Canadian Marine Shipping Risk Forum (CMSRF) is a community of practice sponsored by MEOPAR addressing topics relating to the exploration of risks of- and to- shipping, generally within the Canadian region. The CoP’s activities revolve around three primary interest areas: shipping movement data, shipping traffic modelling, and shipping risk quantification and assessment.
Canadian Coastal Resilience Forum – The Canadian Coastal Resilience Forum (CCRF) is a community of practice sponsored by MEOPAR, focused on strengthening social resilience to natural hazards and climate change in Canada’s coastal regions.
Ocean Acidification Canadian Community of Practice – The Ocean Acidification Community of Practice (OA CoP) was initiated in 2018 and is sponsored by MEOPAR. The OA CoP aims to create awareness about leading-edge developments for Ocean Acidification research in Canada as well as identify current gaps and opportunities for new research. The OA CoP strives to improve linkages and share knowledge between researchers, policy makers, First Nations groups, fishing and aquaculture industries, and Canadian citizens.
Climate Risks for Coastal Transportation Infrastructure Community of Practice (CRCTI CoP). The CRCTI CoP was created to allow researchers and practitioners to discuss climate risks faced by the transportation sector in Canadian coastal communities. The CRCTI CoP maintains a presence online as a LinkedIn group. To join, visit the LinkedIn group and request to join. The CRCTI CoP is supported by MEOPAR.
